In my view, in order for a blog to be interesting, the author(s) must be passionate about the subject matter. For some it is themselves, which is fine when they’re an interesting individual. I read several blogs about technology, politics, ColdFusion, and even blogging professionally. Every once in a while I’ll stumble on another that covers the same territory, but almost inevitably it doesn’t measure up to the more interesting ones that stay in my
Bloglines Google Reader blog roll.
One of my passions is beer. If you’ve been reading this blog for any amount of time this should be unsurprising to you, as the beer category has the most articles. Not coincidentally, one of my best friends in the whole world is equally passionate about malted barley, yeast, hops, and water.
Since he and I both seem to like to talk—a lot—we decided to direct that garrulousness and passion to the same goal. A blog about beer.
We proudly announce the creation of Hop Talk.
While life is not about beer, beer is all about life.
If you enjoy the golden nectar half as much as we do, we invite you to join us as we explore beer styles, the marketing of beer, homebrewing, “atmosphere”, and other related topics.
